While all attempts have been made to verify the information provided in this publication, neither the author nor the Publisher assumes any responsibility for injuries to your pet or the user due to errors, omissions, or contrary interpretation of the subject matter herein. This publication is not intended for use as a source of veterinary or groomer guidance, advice or treatment. You are ultimately responsible for the execution of these de-skunking steps. The author cannot be responsible for owner missteps during the de-skunking process.

If the user of this guide is not the owner of the animal they are treating, then that user must be highly trained and experienced in how to safely work with dog and cat clients in high stress situations on their territory. De-skunking dogs on their own territory is not like bathing or grooming a dog in neutral territory or in a dog grooming salon. Dogs are territorial and expect to guard and protect their owner and their family at all costs regardless of their size.

PROCEED WITH EXTREME CAUTION IF YOU ARE NOT THE OWNER OF THE DOG YOU ARE GOING TO TREAT. DOG DE-SKUNKING CAN BE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS FOR THE UNTRAINED PERSON. DO NOT PROCEED WITHOUT UNDERSTANDING ALL THE RISKS. SKUNKMASTERS AND SILVER SERVICE HOLDINGS, LLC CANNOT ASSUME ANY LIABILITY FOR INJURY DUE TO TREATMENT MISSTEPS OR INACCURATE ASSESSMENT OF A DOG’S DEMEANOR AT THE TIME OF THE DE-SKUNKING TREATMENT. AN UNDERSTANDING OF AND SUBSTANTIAL EXPERIENCE WITH THE READING AND ASSESSMENT OF A DOG’S BODY LANGUAGE IS ESSENTIAL TO A SUCCESSFUL AND SAFE DE-SKUNKING EXPERIENCE FOR A DOG AND THE USER OF THIS GUIDE.

All users are advised to consider consulting competent veterinary and/or groomer guidance to determine whether your animal’s condition warrants using the methods outlined in this De-Skunking Guide prior to treatment SHOULD the owner to be concerned about their pet’s health and well-being. Skunkmasters has followed the outlined steps numerous times with no apparent ill effects to pets or their owners. To the best knowledge of the author and publisher, this formula and steps, executed as delineated in the guide, are not harmful to the owner or their pet.

The purchaser and/or reader of this guide ultimately assumes ALL responsibility for the use of these processes, materials and information.

The user of this guide has voluntarily chosen to follow the How to De-Skunk Your Dog Now guide at their own and pet’s risk. This guide simply outlines the steps we use at Skunkmasters during our home dog de-skunking service calls. An intelligent user will always proceed with caution and care about their pet’s welfare. We always do.

The hydrogen peroxide, baking soda and pet friendly surfactant formula is in the public domain and has been used effectively for many years. This formula was developed by Dr. Paul Krebaum for use in the public domain.

The author and Publisher assume no responsibility or liability whatsoever on the behalf of any purchaser or reader of these materials. Our guide merely codifies the steps we use to embellish the application of this standard and well-known dog de-skunking formula. It is our special extra steps and tactics which are the real value added in this copyrighted publication.

Additionally, all phone support guidance and information is based on Skunkmaster’s direct experience with de-skunking dogs. In no way shall Skunkmaster’s advice or suggestions be interpreted as mandatory steps to be taken. It is understood that without a physical presence, the phone advisory, at best, can only provide the caller with experiential information and suggestions from which the user should draw their own procedural conclusions about on-site, of the moment, emergency dog de-skunking procedures.

The user and purchaser of this guide also acknowledges that the phone support personnel cannot control the quality of execution of any of the suggested de-skunking steps and therefore acknowledges that the phone support they receive shall be exclusively construed as suggestions and not requirements and shall hold Skunkmasters totally harmless, without exception, in the event of any injury that might result to their pet or themselves because of the phone support suggestions or guidance.

The user further acknowledges that Skunkmasters has no control over how the user performs the de-skunking process or the current demeanor or condition of the subject dog and that all steps are focused on providing quick relief to the dog or cat and the pet owner from the temporary effects of having been sprayed by a skunk.

The user acknowledges that all unresolved disputes will be settled by binding arbitration governed by the relevant legislation in the State of Illinois. The user also accepts that no claims, whatsoever, may be filed without the presence of a specific, relevant, unedited, real-time video record of the de-skunking process that the user performed. The user irrevocably acknowledges that, directly due to the many variables not under the control of Skunkmasters, the maximum claim user may make against Skunkmasters cannot exceed $90 under any circumstances.

The user assumes full responsibility for the use of de-skunking formula, which is in the public domain, recommended by the ASPCA and the Humane Society and has been continuously used, without incident, by Skunkmasters.

The user understands and acknowledges that the hydrogen peroxide and baking soda formula may not be pre-mixed and stored. This point is boldly emphasized in the De-Skunk Your Dog Now guide.
